Flashing and a full moon
This morning’s flag-off photo shoot is abruptly stopped due to a sudden deluge of rain. Did I mention our rickshaw roof has a circular hole in it the size of a tennis ball? Do you know how much rain can run through a hole that size in a 10 minute downpour? Even our strategically placed plastic cowboy hat couldn’t successfully capture the water without unexpectedly tipping up and frequently emptying the contents down the neck of the driver – usually Lindsay.

A relatively short driving day today meant we arrive at Mahad’s finest hotel by mid afternoon. Plenty of time to take a taxi (which broke down) and a very small and slightly unsafe cable car to Raigad Fort in the clouds on the cliff tops. The scenery is spectacular, the fort ruins are pretty impressive although visibility is no more than 5 meters at times and it all feels very eerie.

Regardless of the ant infestation in our room, a light that we can’t turn off, an exposed power socket in the shower, and the unknown source of Hindi pipe music that lulls us to sleep, the hotel food is excellent.

Breakdowns: Lost count several days ago.
